Beat the Winter blues with this IMMUNE BOOSTING SMOOTHIE

The colder weather often means a higher chance of getting sick. Give your immune system a natural boost with delicious in-season fruit and veg.

1 orange, peeled

Juice of ½ lemon

2 carrots

1 cup coconut water

1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger

½ teaspoon turmeric powder (optional)




Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth!

Turmeric and especially its most active compound curcumin have many scientifically proven health benefits, such as the potential to prevent heart disease, Alzheimer’s and cancer. It’s a potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant and may also help improve symptoms of depression and arthritis. Turmeric however needs to be in consumed in large amounts and activated to have an affect, so why not add a good quality supplement into your smoothie for a potent boost.
